In the Fall of 2007 Scott joined New Horizons Communities and the Milky Way Farms team and was named Chief Financial Officer.

Scott has more than a decade of experience in the financial aspects of real estate and golf course development and management. Over the years, Scott has been instrumental in the development and opening of eight separate master-planned projects and has also directed the financial and accounting activities of over twenty different golf facilities across the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic.

For the last five years he has served as Chief Financial Officer for Wingfield Properties and its affiliates where he has been responsible for the financial direction of ten operating golf facilities as well as the development of such premier residential and golf communities as Bright’s Creek in the Western North Carolina mountains and also Forest Creek in Pinehurst, North Carolina.

Previous to his role at Wingfield Properties, Scott served as Director of Finance and Accounting for Golfsouth/Golf Matrix, a golf course development and management company where he began as a Controller for the Mid-Atlantic region in 1998 overseeing twenty different golf facilities.

Prior to entering the golf industry, Scott worked for a large real estate management firm in Greenville, South Carolina where he was responsible for over 15 commercial properties across the United States.

A native of North Alabama, Scott and his wife Andrea now make their home in Greenville, SC with their two daughters, Ashelyn and Mckenna.
